hanging lights?
Does anyone have hanging lights, from rafters in their home. I love the idea of these lights because:
- they put the light where you want it
- you can get to the bulbs easily
- they use the upper space beautifully (aesthetically)
But, if you have good breezes in the house, do these lights end up swaying in the breeze and become visually annoying?
Mine sway in the breeze but do not become visually annoying.
thanks dntw8up... that's good to hear... do they typically only sway a few inches?
"...do they typically only sway a few inches?"
Yup. I live on the crest of a ridge and most of the time I don't worry about the breeze's effect on my hanging fixtures. However, I have one special fixture hanging over the dining table and when we have Christmas winds, I close one north facing slider because I always worry that the winds have the potential to get some serious momentum going.
good point... if the winds are strong enough to bang the lights around, then it's probably time to close a few windows anyway...thanks
