grocery ads
Commonly the posters looking to move here are regaled with all kinds of food pricing info - this is the ad from Pueblo today illustrating some items.

And Plaza Extra:

All the grocery stores have websites. They have been posted on this forum, but it's been a while.
Thanks EZ.
Its hard for me to believe that people plan their grocery shopping based on these print ads.
Maybe I'm wrong.
I do, and I know others who do. The ads give people contemplating a move a way to compare food prices.

They're useful if it's a supermarket you plan on going to anyway (my run encompasses three) but I wouldn't waste the gas money on driving out of my way to save a few cents.
Reminds me of a funny story from my childhood when my mother worked for a very wealthy old lady who had no clue about money. She would spot an ad in the local paper for a grocery store 20 miles away which had lemons on sale a few pennies cheaper than those available locally and would summon the chauffeur to drive her there in her big gas-guzzling car (accompanied by her irritable, snappy little terrier who constantly farted).
I posted it in the interest of this being a 'Relocation Board' so interested readers could get an idea of food costs!!
- I do use it personally for selected items, I just came back from Pueblo on my daily errands with the ice cream on sale because I won't buy it otherwise [ 1 Gal/$8.99] - plus it makes me drive straight home so it won't melt and ends my morning errand running immediately no matter what else I thought I MIGHT do today while I was out.
I rarely drive out to Plaza Extra unless they have quite a few items I regularly use on sale.
