Great Response From WAPA STX
My girlfriend has been having problems with the service in her house. She called the WAPA Customer Service number this morning (a Monday) shortly after they opened at 8:00 AM. She got the voice message that says no one was available to take the call - and to leave a message or wait for someone to pick up. Just as she was starting to leave a message someone cut in and took her call. Amazing! The phone rep took her info. And said she would forward it to the line department.
Less than two hours later a small WAPA truck pulled up to the house. The guys told her they saw a potential problem and they were waiting for a larger truck to arrive. The line truck pulled up 15 minutes later. The linemen determined there was a problem with the service feed between her weather head and the pole. They noticed, too, a problem with her neighbor's feed. They replaced the feeds to both homes. Problem solved by 10:45. That's approximately two and a half hours from phone call to resolve. And on a Monday morning.
Kudos to WAPA for an awesome response! ? ? ?
we had that type of service one too, and this was after 8 pm.
Isn't that what they get paid to do?
I would expect nothing less.
It has been my impression too that WAPA services got much better. They are responsive and power outages that were frequent before Irma/ Maria are occasional and brief.
