About 12 years ago we bot a tangerine tree in a pot from a nursery. Planted it, and had tangerines for awhile, Last year one part of the tree died, the remaining part flourished and sent out fruit. The color of the fruit never reached "tangerine", it was a pale yellow. Yesterday we opened one of the fruits, it was full and beautiful, but not "tangerine" in color. Wondering, I took one bite, and discovered we now have lemon tree.

The lemons are the size of large orange!

We think the tangerine was grafted onto a meyer lemon stock.
