Good Afternoon My Friends
Hi,
I just heard the news telling that Gustav was tearing through the Caribbean and I wanted to check and make sure that everyone was ok. Has it come to the VI's?
God Bless and I hope everyone is safe and dry (maybe even enjoying one of those Pain Killers I can't wait to try 😉 ) !
Your concern is appreciated here - at this time of year we are all closely watching our weather sources and a bit on edge til the season dies down in Oct.
You might want to check out www.weathercarib.com to get a geographical fix on the VI - when you are watching on the TV weather we are just East or to the right of Puerto Rico.
We're all ok. Thanks for checking.
Your best source is National hurricane center website STT and the USVI have been ok so far everything normal here most hurricanes are forming in the south of Hispaniola and Cuba and that is passed us so we have no worries so far???????
Cuba is getting slammed right now. After Cuba most of the models are showing a direct hit on New Orleans. It looks very bad for them.
Some reported wind gust in Cuba are over 200mph. I don't know how accurate that is.
This storm passed us almost a week ago. The Caribbean is a big place. We are so far east that most of the weather is just forming while it passes us.
Except Hugo, right Linda?
Hugo just liked it here so much he decided to hang around for a while.......
In the wake of Gustav and Hannah the sea around STX has been as calm as a birdbath since Monday. It's been amazing and has done wonders for the underwater visibility; it's the best I've seen in a long time.
I did say MOST of the weather. There are a few notable exceptions.
My point what that Gustav is right now about as far away from us and St. Louis is from NYC.
did Hugo hang around too? I thought Marilyn hung out for 24 hours.
I didn't think Marilyn would ever end. (td)
