Golf Carts on STX
I know this question was asked like 4 years ago, but need an update. Are golf carts allowed on the streets of Christiansted??

The answer is NO. The streets and roads are strictly for auto's, trucks, etc.
I have never seen golf carts running around this island anywhere except on the grounds of condo associations and golf courses. If you want to drive golf carts to the store etc, move to the Villages in Florida.
Also, Segways and ATCs are not allowed unless you are the police. They are safe for the police but not for the rest of us.
huh? I've seen golf carts and lots of atvs in fsted. Leagly I'm not sure lol but I do see them especially on mahogany and not just the tab tour company out here either. Not on the freeway of course.

F'sted is a little less busy and more laid back than C'sted, save for when there's a ship in port. Just driving a golf cart into C'sted would not be safe.
The Caravelle Hotel casino in Csted has a golf card with a license plate. They use it to shuttle customers to/from the casino to their parked cars.
even if it were legal to drive golf carts on the roads, i sure would not want to do it. not here
The housing authority running the project just outside Christiansted right at the Bassin Triangle corner have golf carts and drive them on the roads all the time. Divi Carina has golf carts that I've seen driven on the road nearby the resort.
So, if the Caravelle Hotel, Divi Carina, housing authority and police can drive them on the roads, I guess we all can.
There's basically no enforcement of traffic laws here anyway. Why worry.
I think you're nuts for even THINKING of driving a golf cart on the streets of C-sted.
You do 'dat long enough, you gon' get all mashed up, ya' check?
Call motor vehicle department in STX to find out.
I think you can drive them on private roads, estate roads.
the resort has golf carts for exclusive use on their property. the fact there property spans both sides of the street is why they actually drive them on the street. they dont go anywhere else with them
