There are boats/cargo boats that go from Miami to St. Thomas sure - but not likely they will take passengers???? never heard of it - not saying its impossiable but in todays world sounds like a liability for the carrier ---- unless you could get on as a worker/volunteer crew???? Really don't know where you would find information on doing that. There are also cargo planes - I distantly recall a friend of mine talking/paying his way onto a cargo plane that was coming to St. Thomas... but this is really not the norm and this guy was quite the talker - probally could sell ice to an eskimo...... I think he also knew one of the guys that worked on it......

In any case you put your stuff, car, big furniture and all that other stuff in a trailer which you set up through a moving company and you get that on a cargo boat like Tropical Shipping..... and then you call up American Airlines or Delta or United and get an airline ticket from Miami to St. Thomas (often there are specials between those two points) and you fly into the island!!! Then you can pick up your things when they arrive at the Cargo Dock in Subbase. Thats the way I have always heard it being done.
