I am planning on moving to St. Thomas at the beginning of August. I was wondering if anyone had any information on where I could find the cheapest one-way flight down there. Right now the best that I am finding is around $500. This may be the cheapest available, but if anyone has any idea where I may be able to locate a bettr deal, please let me know.

Thanks,
Nick

Hold out as long as you can. The summer travel season is just cranking up and people are still having doubts about flying due to the hassles with security and the numbnuts that work security at the airports.

Delta had a $390RT from Atlanta, but travel has to be completed by July 1, I think. That would work out to just $195 one-way for you.

I strongly believe the airlines will drop fares again for summer travel to the islands since it is the low season down there.

Good luck!!

Don't be afraid to buy a roundtrip ticket even though you only want a one-way. You'll get a much better rate. Just toss the return in the trash, laugh, count your savings, and hit the beach.

With airline security the way it is now, it might not be a good idea to just toss the round trip ticket in the trash after one way. The airline is responsible to account for where each passenger is...if you don't check in, at least call the airline to let them know.
