Gas Prices Yet to Fall on STT & STJ
"Sept. 19, 2006 – The price of crude oil is down, Hovensa cut its prices and gas stations on St. Croix have considerably lowered theirs. However, that's not the case on St. Thomas and St. John, Licensing Commissioner Andrew Rutnik said Monday. "
"Rutnik said that most gas stations across the territory buy from Hovensa, either directly or through a wholesaler. He forwarded a letter from Hovensa that indicated on Sept. 8 its price of regular gasoline went down by 50.5 cents. The price of premium fell by 63 cents and the cost of diesel dropped by 14 cents. "

Owning a gas station on STT or STJ must be an exceptionally profitable business nowadays.
Gas in St. John just went UP this past week. Premium is $4.07 now.
The HOVENSA porking continues. A friend of mine in MO filled up for $1.85 per gallon this week..
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The price U.S. drivers pay for gasoline is expected to drop another 25 cents in the short term to a national average of $2.25 a gallon, the federal Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
On STX it's $2.55 for regular and dropping.
