Friday - More rain
From VITEMA today, Friday:
LINE OF HEAVY SHOWERS HEADING TOWARDS THE VIRGIN ISLANDS NOW
An extensive line of heavy showers and thundershowers is heading to the Virgin Islands from the southwest.
Frederiksted, St. Croix should begin to see this weather activity shortly and the line of showers will begin to impact St. Thomas and St. John by 2 pm.
From this activity the territory could see rainfall accumulations of one to two inches in a thirty minute period and two to three inches in a one hour period. Gusty winds on the order of 30 miles per hour from the north-northeast are associated with this line of showers.
In the short term, an improvement of the weather on St. Croix is not expected until 8 pm Friday and an improvement on St. Thomas and St. John will not be seen until about 2 am Saturday. Following this improvement, the territory will see continued scattered showers through Sunday. Another tropical wave is expected to impact the territory on Sunday.
I saw the same weather warning on line around 1:00pm Edward. I also saw the big "blob with red, orange, & green areas" on NWS radar headed toward STX. However not much happened in Cane Bay. We had some light to moderate rain for about an hour starting a little after 2pm with some wind that would only qualify as a "stiff breeze". So either that big line of thunderstorms missed Cane Bay or it pretty much dissapated before it hit STX. Either scenerio I'm not complaining.

Saturday 8 am in Golden Rock and the sky is blue with a few bright white clouds. 🙂
