Freedom City Surf and Grill closing in St. Croix?
Definitely closed. The shop was burned. I haven't talked to Pi since I've been back on island only one week, so, I can't say if they'll try and open again. Doesn't look good right now.
Coconuts is remodeling and probably name change as well and should be opening soon.
I live West and many changes since Maria. Lost Dog moved one door north.
Pi left island and isn't coming back from what I heard.. I doubt coconuts will remodel anytime soon.
Pi is living in TX with Q. Bill is living in MI. I sure do miss them and working at FCS. They won’t be back to reopen as the building burnt down. A real tough blow to Fsted and the cruise ships. The land owner for a long time was trying to get the out of there. He is a dick and a real liar. Khama come for dat man. Coconuts looked like a hot mess before I moved back to STT. I can’t imagine anyone investing in that place. Barely holding up. RIP FCS.
Sadly Freedom City Surf and Grill received devastating damage from Irma, Jose and finally Maria, totaling the surf shop and badly damaging the Grill. Maria's wrath hit FCS directly.
I never liked Freedom City Surf nor the people who ran it. Plus, the access to the beach in that area is rocky. I certainly won't be missing them.
I am so sad that they are gone. We tried to go every Sunday from the East End. They were always friendly to us. Yes, the beach is rocky but so good for snorkeling and finding treasures. Just a different opinion.

Hi my name is mark johnson, we lived on st. Croix while my wife work at the hospital, we spent a lot of time at fcss and my son work there as a cook, I have been looking at moving back down there we really miss it. I have a bbq business here in Minnesota, and have been thinking of maybe moving it down there and was wondering about the lot who owns it, and is it up for sale? Any info would be appreciated, when we were there last I was looking at coconuts but needed to be tore down and could not find out who owned it. If you know anything please let me know.
Thank you
Mark
I don't know about owners but fcss and coconuts were both pretty much wiped out from Maria. Doubt you would want to invest in major construction when starting a business. We do have a lot of BB! on STX but heh, who can have too much BBQ?
You can explore property ownership at http://mapgeo.com/usvi/
That property now belongs to the VI Govt.
If you enjoy being robbed frequently, a beach bar in Frederiksted is the right location.
Of course, no eatery on STX is immune from that these days.
You can never have too many BBQ places.
id rather see something leaning more towards vegetarian/vegan without the use of soy products

To clarify - Freedom City now belongs to the VI Govt.
