Most politicians do accept funding from outside sources, so I don't think that makes him a bad person. He may or may not be a saint, I don't actually know the man, but I do enjoy the open forum he provides on the radio and I don't think you have to marry him to listen.

Betty,

With all due respect he may be more like a local politician, but people do have the option of listening or not listening to him on the radio. Actually I am quite familiar with his radio career long before he came to the islands.
As long as people can call his show and voice their opinion I don't see what the problem is. One thing I have noticed is people like to call his show and give a speech rather engage in conversation. On the mainland radio hosts would not allow that they would just hang up on the caller so I am always amazed that he allows the caller the amount of time he does. My only wish is that his station was 24 hour or at least 12 hour talk.
