I'm not too sure that Tourism is interested in this kind of publicity, though- http://www.onepaper.com/stthomasvi/?v=d&i=&s=News:Local&p=1223616334 I saw them filming on the Brookman Road site today, they were at Hull Bay yesterday.

That and Monday's Daily News doesn't make for good Tourism. All of which are available on line.

i tell you... whenever i hear that particular song (from "cops")), now i think about the one incident where a woman called police to the home of another woman because she claimed that the accused took money from her without handing over a quantity of crack cocaine.

well, the officer went over to the other woman, and questioned her about whether she was dealing drugs in the neighborhood.

the suspect (hair all askew, yampi in her eyes, cracked lips and way casual clothing - tore up from the floor up as we say) looked down her nose at the officer and her accuser, and claimed that she simply told the woman that she would give her drugs to get her off her back, as she was offended that the woman kept coming into her yard in front of her children with such a scandalous attempt to obtain an illegal substance. yes, she took the money and she did not want to give it back, but she had nothing to sell her - perhaps now the woman would leave her alone.

*yeah, i know*:S

the officer asked once again, if the lady was a drug dealer. and i was so not expecting her response. holding her head a bit higher, she sniffed, "sir, i am not a drug dealer. i am a prostitute."

The online source in question seems to be more than open to other editorials as well as the 'eye on crime' stuff. I have found that just putting some perspectives on paper and submitting often gets published, and offers some balance for all those who "slow down to look at an accident".

Not for profits, other public news and events I believe would be welcomed. We are rather a large group of people, and as a whole, could probably offer balance and some greater reader interest. Of course, crime is also important, however, I do not go to the wonderful cove I swim in to take down stories of some tragedy. Palms, sand, sun and fun instead.

Just some thoughts as I have done this before in editorials. Often, media will also send out a camera person for some positive event.

All the best,

Dan
