In the past few years on this forum, St. Croix seemed to be more heavily represented than St. Thomas/St. John. Now it seems to be about even.
On a related note, I was bored, so I counted the most active recent users on this forum. I used a website spidering tool to grab all threads from roughly the past month, and then I pulled out the usernames. The results are below, showing usernames and number of postings, for those who had at least 10 postings in the time period.

I'd like to add that "the tone" of the forum has been very pleasant: good questions from prospective and recent relocatees, very helpful and honest replies from regulars. I have an opinion on why that is.....but in the new spirit of kinder, friendlier and more supportive forum, I'll shut-up.

VINow should pay you a consultancy fee, because this is very valuable info.
My STT employer advertises on VINOW, and I was thinking it wasn't a good marketing tool for St Thomas businesses. However during the last few weeks, we've gotten bookings from our ad, so I'm not going to recommend we discontinue our ad.
I think the moderator on "the other site" does a better job of supporting their advertisers, though, so more research is needed on my end, I guess.

Your right, you have too much time on your hands for sure hahahahahahaha. But I have to disagree that it's about half and half between St. Croix and St. Thomas. There seems to be much more St. Croix participation:)

Your right, you have too much time on your hands for sure hahahahahahaha.
I should say that the whole counting exercise took about 30 minutes, I used several software tools for spidering the website, and parsing and counting the results (no hand-counting), and I had fun.

I'm surprised I'm number 4 on the list! I am actually quite busy and often have a lot to do, but this forum is one of my several modes of procrastination. So maybe I'm not that surprised after all...

Ditto! My office in is my home so am on computer, off and on all day, most days, if not involved in other projects.
It is a good temporary escape from work. I wish I was a geekaholic. Not a techie, at all!

This site is one of my daily checks. I definitely have a life! LOL, just after I check e-mail, I check vimovingcenter. I used this site like a, well, only rude sayings come to mind, but suffice to say I used this site A LOT before our move. I feel that it would be hypocritical to not offer help if and when I can. Plus, it is still nice to get advise from folks who have been on island longer than I have.

I only counted postings under General/Relocating.
Most of the recent postings for Jamison and rotorhead are in other forums, like Under A Coconut Tree

I'm a bit of a forum addict & especially like local/community forums where I might actually meet the members (long shot, but possible)
I've recently driven from Alaska to Florida & am dumping money into the Disney mega franchise, assuming everything works out ill be on island by the 20th,,, I'm very excited
