I do hope they can streamline the process to obtain a card .
But this looks to be a crazy way to start that modernization.
Acting Health Commissioner Taetia Phillip-Dorsett said Wednesday that the department also plans to develop a new processing system for providing authorized health cards, which includes modernizing the processing and issuance systems. Phillip-Dorsett said that currently there are about 12,000 health cards in circulation territorywide, which will all be recalled even though only 100 of them are believed to be fraudulent.
New cards will be issued free of cost, she said.

Crazy logic to deal with approximately 100 fraudulent health cards out of 12,000 by issuing new ones. Clearing that mess up ought to be a classic SNAFU & btw-- costly.

All a Food Handler card certifies is that you know how to scoop a bit of poop into a cup and take it to a clinic for testing.
