Sorry, Lee Rohn for a lawyer?

That is politically incorrect as it is - "travesty" or a travesty of a defense?

Lee Rohn is somewhat infamous on STX. I remember when she got busted for pot in the PR airport. Her defense was her boyfriend was a Rasta and she was taking it to him so it wasn't illegal. Oh, then when she got charged for it in STX her defense was she paid a "fine" in PR so she couldn't be charged in the VI for it. She is a trip and a half! God bless her.

Yes it's political, and yes Donastorg is a philandering schmuck, and yes, all the old school anonymous voices are lining up to support their crony and, finally, yes I hope DeJongh takes out the trash.

Did you guys read the comments on that cruciansinfocus.com site? Pamela is right on. You simply cannot make up this stuff. I mean, really!!

Who is she? Someone referred to her as a minor, but she's 19. Isn't it 18 to be an adult here, same as in the states?

The comment that the beat up teenage girl has recanted her charges is not unexpected. She has been bought off or scared to death. It is time to clean out the 'pile of crap' that is also known as the USVI senate. Donastorg is a good start. I hope others will also follow.

Please restore our faith in a free society and throw the bums out.

I must confess I don't know this man's politics but any 47 year old MARRIED MAN WITH SIX CHILDREN having a 19 year old girlfriend is disgusting. This is one of the people who is getting $85,000 a year? What is needed to get this guy impeached and why aren't any of the other senators speaking out on the matter? Maybe birds of a feather flock together.

Its really time for every single official from the Govenor, Inspector Generals, Senators and consultants to be asked to leave (of course this won't happen just watch all the comments that will follow saying everyone should leave except for their favorite).

well, at this point we have an allegation. even reference to his conduct before this incident is innuendo unless someone is willing to speak up and say it's so and they were either party to it or witnessed it. carrying it further is libel or slander.

The effort to frighten people into silence lends further impetus to the supposition of guilt.

I have always respected your opinion. You seem to be defending the senator. Can you explain why ,and what connection you have to this situation?

Since when is stating the obvious - innocent until convicted - defending anything except our system of justice?

I believe any fooling around outside of marriage is scum regardless of the age of the other person. I do agree that for a 47 year old and a 19 year old is totally disgusting. The police must have something why make the arrest?

Just for the record "Libel is the written word "and "slander" is the spoken word. Opinions on news articles are not actionable!

LOL, i have never shilled for a politician in my entire life. i differentiate that from my own heartfelt support based on a belief in the person's platform and/or record. i have no intention of starting now. - and my support does not extend to upholding anyone in dirt. and thank you Linda J, you said it perfectly.

even the article will have to note that this is an allegation.

A Davis.
I must of missed the press has to "note it's an allegation" as part of the 1st Amendment,". Also Pubic Office Holders are Fair Game!

the press will always say "alleged" or "charged with" or state the stage of the process such as "indicted" until a crime has been proven in order to stay on the right side, and also not to appear to be accusatory.

that's being professional and fair to the accused. i did not bring in the first amendment.

Its one thing to defend (justifyably) or quote the basis of our judicial system, its another thing to be nieve. Once again I state its time to clean house, vote them all out. Otherwise continue to support the corruption in the system. Its as if the citizens are prostitutes and the politicians are the pimps. You only exist to support their 85k a year salaries.
