FOG --- St Croix parades ?
Hello Fog,
Since you have been on St Croix for awhile, I wondered if you had noticed any imprompto parades on island? We have been there several times, and we would be driving, and notice alot of cars gathering in one spot, sometimes at Sunny Isle, sometimes on rural sides of roads, mostly Honda's, some other cars. Then lead car driver would put a small blinking light on top of the car, and lead the "parade" through areas of the island. There were no locals gathering to watch, such as a regular parade. We thought maybe a local car club or something. Just wondering if this is still going on, and have you seen it?
Hello Ray,
It might have been a funeral. People will drive from the mass or the viewing to the cemetery in a line of cars, driving slow.
Or a wedding, if folks were honking as they drove along.

Hello Islander,
We didn't notice a hurse, or even that the young people were dressed as such for attending a funeral or wedding. This happened on three seperate occasions, if memory is serving correctly. We thought it may be a local car club, since most cars were Honda's. All cars were waxed, and decked out (?). It was neat to see though. We miss St Croix so much, and had a wonderful time there.
Thanks, Ray
Hello Ray,
If it was young people with decked out Hondas then its likely what you said a car club or a large group of friends. Not sure. I haven't seen this on my visits to St. Croix. Hopefully FOG and other Crucians have some other info.

I've never seen this. I'm usually not in the Sunny Isle area. That is, of course, a big hangout place for teenagers.
