Flying with 3 Dogs from STX
Does anyone know of a charter service that would fly 1 adult and 3 dogs back to Florida pretty cheap?
It won't be cheap!
It's winter now so temps are lower so easier and cheaper on regular airlines.
I see from your previous posts that you only moved here a few months ago, so how did you finally get the dogs here? Sorry to hear you're leaving so quickly.
There's no such thing in the universe as a cheap air charter flight. Really??!!
Call Bohlke Charter in St. Croix if you want a safe, class act flight. A safe cheap flight for you and your dogs? Forget it.
I'm sure the poster meant, "as inexpensively as possible" ...
Just out of curiosity, do the airlines allow 1 person fly with 3 dogs?
on American we have traveled with 2 checked and 1 in the cabin. Size restrictions apply of course.
But you said, "we."
I wanted to know if they allow only 1 single person to travel with 3 dogs, specifically.
For what it is worth, air charters are never "cheap" or "inexpensive". The only things reasonable and customary when it comes to flying or maintaining aircraft is nothing is reasonable and nothing is customary.
A good rule of thumb for estimating air charter costs is to use a rate of $1,000/hr for a small prop plane and a minimum of $3,000/hr for a small jet. Don't forget to figure in the deadhead portions of the flight to get the plane and crew to/from their base of operations.

I know on American, the rules are that a single person can check two pets and carry-on one pet kennel. There used to be an allowance for allowing puppies or kittens/cats over 8 weeks of age to share a carry-on bag/kennel if there was room. But I don't believe they do that any more.
Thanks.
I was wondering if that might be the situation that Jasbury may find himself in?
