Fleas in Carpet?
Ok, so I was putting some laudry away in the 2nd bedroom here and there were all these black fleas or no see ums around my ankle. Unfortunately, there is carpet in the bedroom (why I dont know?). Are these fleas? I have no pets? Short of taking the carpet out, what to do besides getting me a flea collar?
get advatage, it works better .
Sorry i couldnt resist.
but anyway, have you tried a flea bomb, if that does not work, an exterminator or get rid of the carpet??
right what speedy said....,try bug bomb first. then maybe spray....last resort front line. but remember dont bath 2 days after.
and flea collars do come not in cute collars....aren't we funny???:D
would no seeums be in the house?
Well I just remembered that early in the morning these little black things attacked me in the kitchen area, which is totally seperate from the bedrooms and there is no carpet, and thought they were just no see um's, but when attacked this morning in the bedroom, I am starting to wonder if these are fleas?
Will go to the pet store later today, if you see a guy out with a white collar around his neck, you will know it is me.....
i think pink would be a nicer spring color
I'e made little crochet covers for the dogs/cats collars. Let me know if you need couple 🙂
Just name them 🙂
OOPS, that's the lizards ...
Did you just move in? If you did, probably the people before you had pets with fleas. After the animals move out the fleas multiply and go crazy and attack when people move in. I would bomb the house and put mule team borax on the carpeted areas. The borax works great and you can just vacume it up the next day.
Ewwww....why would any house have carpet down here???? Try a flea bomb, cover your toothbrush, food or anything that could get contaminated by the chemicals
dont have fleas but i still bug bomb every few months or so. gets other bugs that may be hiding..
It's not the bugs that are hiding, it's the eggs. There are a lot of solutions offered but if the fleas are attacking you. You have a very large problem. Call Terminix. Get rid of the rugs. Good Luck!:-(
Our veterinarian years ago in the states prescribed Borax sprinkled into the carpet and vacuumed up the next day. Worked like a champ for fleas. Contains Boric acid so works on many species.
So I agree with Tam in saying Bomb and Borax and possibly ditch the carpet.
I did all of the things, vacuum, bomb, spray, and borax. Checked the room today and only had one hop on me, eventually will get rid of the carpet, all in good time and money! Will repeat those steps again!!!! Sadly the tenants that were living here prior to my arrival did not have pets, but may have had fleas on them? Just another battle here on the Rock! Oh well, no rain in 3 weeks (bought a water truck) isnt so bad! WAPA on the other hand? Another 10 AM power outage may at hand tomorrow! I cant control them, I can control fleas. And yes I named them, Barry, Florence, Hoppy, etc. BTW, my flea collar has worked! 😮
im glad that you named them, they need love too
glad the collar worked.
