Good afternoon, I am currently searching for a condo to purchase. Can anyone help with the best areas to look.

Kind of depends on what you are looking for, price, bedrooms, amenities including site and views, general location.  We have condos just about from one end of the island to the other.

Unless you have an immediate need (you accepted a job and have nowhere to stay), renting or making a pre-move visit (PMV) is strongly recommended.

The MLS seems to stay pretty current and will give you an idea of what condos are currently available.

St Croix has very diverse geography for an island only 28 miles long. The east end is very dry and almost desert-like, transitioning to a rainforest-like environment on the west end.

One you've spent a bit of time on the island, you'll know which areas suit you best and will get a feel for the places you frequently go.

My wife and I had a condo near Christiansted for several years but realized that we were spending a lot of time driving to the west end for diving, beaches and restaurants we frequented. Just over a year ago, we bought a house on the west end and sold our condo.

Best of luck and welcome to the forum!

Real estate agents are pretty good at this. We have many to choose from. Give one a call!

@vicanuck I am working with an agent however, it is always beneficial to do your own research also when making a decision like this.

Your original post didn't say that you were already working with an agent. Your agent will be your most reliable source of information. The condo market is quite thin at the moment. Good luck with your search!

I would suggest Questa Verde condos, located in Hermon Hill (when you do an MLS search, the estate is Hermon Hill)

This is a central location - convenient to just about everything. Gated community with a backup generator, and low condo fees. 2 small pets are allowed under 25 lbs. There are a couple on the market now. Check it out!

I have owned my condo since 2008.
