Fiber Internet?
@daveb722 becareful about saying bad things about BBVI…the owner comes into the forum and anyone who had mouths them he threatens to kick off.
@stxdreaming1 Yeah I know about him, he no longer owns it. I've emailed and received responses from the CEO of liberty. He gave me the new GM of BBVI's email and also I have the person in charge of the IT piece's email, but it is the same garbage. They promise to follow up, then once the issue is fixed, they don't respond. I hope starlink is Awesome and after a 30 day test, my last and final email to them will let them know how dysfunctional they are and how they just don't give a crap about the customer. I used to recommend BBVI to everyone, but I won't anymore.
@vicanuck I found that the address that will always work is the Google plus code... pin your location on Google maps and look for the plus code.... below is the fort but add the zip, VI like below.
P7WX+P8X Christiansted, St Croix 00820, VI
once pined click next to lat and long at the bottom...
I am now seeing 95 mbps down, 35 mbps up at 55 ms average... the ping has been slowly dropping, I think they are tweeking the system as customers come online...
You will need a clear view north and about 45 degrees east and west of north.
Order the ethernet adapter if you plan on connecting to existing networks or wired devices... or by and WIFI bridge... a fast one... the 2.4 band l only saw 65 mbps
Starlink Update!
Wow...very simple to install and set up. Works right out of the box! Unbelievably blazing fast speeds >200 mbps even with heavy cloud cover and rain. Fantastic streaming quality.
I just can't say enough good things about Starlink.
