Has there been any news on this mythical FERRY TO ST. THOMAS that i've read so much about? Most of the stories read that it was to start in June of this year, but I can't imagine anything starting on schedule here... moved here recently and don't quite know where to get good information from yet.

It's real. Still undergoing USCG sea trials I guess. There are videos of it.

The coast guard has also called for some changes to be made within the interior, I was told. It's recently been moved back to Gold Coast Yachts in Salt River.

It looks more like a promotional clip for a tv add. I don't believe it ever made it beyond Youtube. If you look closely, it's not even filmed on STX, and I dont believe that species of turtle even lives in the Caribbean.
My point;
That in the USVI, sometimes even turtles look fast.

The only projection you can rely on here is "soon come", and that can mean anything from "next week" to "in about two years", or beyond.
