Ferry ??
Is the Ferry that runs between St Johns and St Thomas just a passenger Ferry or is it vehicle also ??
The ferry from Charlotte Amalie to St John [no 's'] is only passengers.
In Red Hook both passenger and car ferry operations to St John exist side by side.
On St John the passenger ferry leaves from downtown Cruz Bay and the car ferry leaves fro the Enighed Pond cargo facility.
Cool THANKS for the info.....
Good Afternoon, Do you happen to know the everyday cost & time it takes & if it runs on schedule for going back in fourth to work, etc... Thanks for any input.
$6 Red Hook - STJ ea. way -- 15 min.
$12 ea. way - Charlotte Amalie -STJ - 35-40 min.
Fairly good on-time schedule overall
VI Senior Citizen, local student, and commuter book prices are lower.
Thank you so very much~:-)
the prices quoted are for the people ferry.

I go over to STJ pretty regularly to play (hiking and snorkeling, of course) and take the car. You pay some $2 or $3 port fee thing. There are two companies who run the barges. Our favorite one (because they are the latest to leave STJ at 7 pm) is $50 round trip. The other company is $40 round trip. They tend to run on time, but can run a little late. Hope this helps!
