Favorite Restaurant on St. Thomas
Re: Fish Tails: Okay, you are dissing my favorite place. I don't know how big a portion you think is necessary, but they serve fish in 8+oz servings with rice and veg. They have a lobster special Thursdays for $26- or is it $28? They now serve sushi and, of course, sashimi. Great happy hour. Nice people. Ignore Alana.:P
Wow. what a comeback!! Welcome back EE!!
The Chinese Restaurants are ownwd by the brothers of the guys here. One is China Jade and the other China Panda? In Sunny Isle.

EE - Maybe you have had better dining experiences with Fish Tails but I won't be wasting my money there again when there are so many other and better places to dine on the East End.
3 posters mentioned Fish Tails as a favorite, 1 person diagreed and defamed the place - there will always be differences in preferences - the thread is called "favorite restaurants" and there will certainly be a wide disparity of choices - So why disparage their opinions and post negative comments?? Every restaurant has people who enjoy the place and people who do not - save the sniping argumentative comments for the "Least Favorite Restaurant" thread.
I like the restaurant choices in Frenchtown!
Had dinner at Fish Tails last night and although I wouldn't put it on my "favorite" list, it was pretty good for the most part and I'd go back. Nice atmosphere and I like what they've done with the space - bright, airy, nicely breezy and a comfortable ambiance. Would be nice if they provided ashtrays outside for the smokers as the pathway and the immediate perimeter was loaded with butts! All in all an enjoyable evening and the prices were reasonable.
Island Time for the best pizza. The ITP is my favorite. Getting one tonight 🙂
Island Beachcomber for the best burgers, right on the beach.
Pie Whole for pizza and salad
Dog House pub for inexpensive burgers and tacos.
Hmmm, sounds like I like burgers and pizza ! Glad I threw a salad in there 😛
I had another wonderful dinner at Fish Tails- glazed salmon with seafood risotto. Yum, yum, yum. They had a 34 top come in without reservations and were able to keep calm and carry on.
I heard a rumor about Romano's and usually hear these things here first... Is it closed?
It's been closed. About 2 months now.
That is what I heard on the street. Usually I hear stuff like that all over the internet first.
Last Sunday was our last night of an eleven night stay on STT and Tortola. We had dinner at Mofoalie's and the lamb was outstanding. It had to be the best meal of the entire trip. Also the blended drinks at Mofoalie's and at Mountain Top were the best of the trip. It seems that at most bars that we went to. the drinks were mostly ground ice.
Fishtails - Breakfast (Crabby Benny is to die for)
French Town Deli - Breakfast and Lunch
Big Bambooz- Best Burger on Island. (Hint: Ask for the BigMac. Its not on the menu but its a killer burger)
XO - Love the daily specials.
Dog House - Best inexpensive Burgers and Mexican Food.
The Grill - Good all around food
Chop Stix - Best Pad Thai I can find on STT and STJ.
Excuse me while I resurrect this thread.
Is northside bistro closed? They were closed when we drove by recently, but it could've been a holiday.
Trying Sibs tonight
Tried enkai last week and was unimpressed
Also tried 13 on New Years...awesome.
Barefoot Buddha is a fun little spot. Love the attached clothing store, reminds me of Asha on STX.
Did some short-term work in tillet gardens so I ate at that bistro several times... It's really just ok & overpriced.
