Farmer's market/PMV stx
My sister and I are coming to stx Dec.14-22 for my PMV, which is the best farmer's market to stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables? La Reine?
We are currently booked at Sugar Beach, but have heard it might not be the best neighborhood, anyone have any thoughts?
I will be moving after the first of the year(depending on how quickly I can sell my house) and will be looking for a one bedroom in a safe area for a six month lease. Help is greatly appreciated.
Sugar Beach Condos are on a beautiful white sand beach. Unfortunately the beach occasionally gets fouled by sewage outflow and leaks. The area behind the condos has some government housing. They are often a spawning ground for crime on the island. With proper care you can be safe at Sugar Beach.
These and other nearby condos would be million dollar properties on another island. So, if you can live with the problems, you can have sort of a million dollar life style.
There are other condos that do not have the issues that plague Sugar Beach.
Thanks for your helpful information. Do you have any other condos you would recommend? What is Club St. Croix like?
best condo's on st croix would be gentle winds
Look at the Reef at Teague Bay.

Pelican Cove condos are also very nice if you want to stay beach front. They are very upscale and have a large free-form swimming pool that allows many people to use it simultaneously without being in each other's way.
If you like golfing, look into Saman and Sweet Lime condos at Carambola.
Club St. Croix is next door to Sugar Beach and are basically identical in design and amenities. West of Sugar Beach is the Colony Cove complex, which is also a popular vacation destination, as well as popular with its full-time residents. Colony Cove has a nice garden/pool set up near the beach. Club STX's pool is next to a restaurant and some people feel funny having diners watch them lay out in their swim suits. Sugar Beach's pool is in a walled courtyard inland from the condos, so you can't see the ocean from there.
Villa Madeleine is unique on STX in that each 2-BDR condo has its own small pool in a courtyard. They aren't cheap, but you kind of have your own small villa rather than having a hotel feel.
St. C's condos are all very large 1-BDR units with wonderful views and a refreshing breeze. I will have a unit coming vacant for a long-term tenant in early December. These typically rent for about $1600 per month plus utilities, but water, cable tv and Terminix are included. This is a gated complex with 24 hour security and off-street parking. The location is west of Christiansted and adjacent to one of the nicer gated communities on the island (Judith's Fancy). For an introductory rental property on the island, it's hard to go wrong with St. C's. Their central location makes it easy to get around while you learn the island and figure out where you want to live in the future. Some people decide to stay in this complex for years.
