Thanks anyway. Decided to go with my old favorite, B & H in NYC.

I used generic inks when I had my Epson printers. It's been a few years, but I'm pretty sure they were waterproof inks like the regular Epson ink. I know I made a few t-shirts and coasters using those cheapie inks, and they didn't run (though I may have had problems with a red design I used, but that could have been another issue).

If you want my source, let me know and I'll dig it out. I have an HP now (which I hate), but I never use it.

For what its worth, I alway buy Epson cartridges from ebay. Almost all the sellers use USPS PriorityMail and you have the real thing.

Be careful with generic inks for any printer. I had an Epson a while back and bought generic ink for it. I downloaded new drivers for the printer, and it updated the firmware in the printer to not accept that particular generic ink cartridge, and I was stuck with a couple of them that were useless.

Printer companies don't make their money from selling the printers, they make their money from selling ink for those printers.
