Employer Recemption
I will be running a branch office for a firm in Chicago, and I was wondering becasue I am 21, will it be harder to hirer people because of my age and their willingness to work for some younger. I will need to hire people like accountants, receptionist, admins... and such, and most of the people i hire will be older than me, i guess my question is, will be discouraged to work for me because of my age.
*sorry spelled reception wrong, I was in a hurry
Hello Dave,
No I don't think folks will have a problem working for you or applying for a job from you. If you show yourself to be a responsiable and professional employer/manager there shouldn't be a problem.

Dave,
Honest Answer to your question.
Good news : Your problem is not your age
Bad News : Your problem is the availability of professionals who are not employed elsewhere.
There has been a large influx of accounting/business management type firms into the V.I. recently. These firms have gobbled up most of the good folks.

This is the other Dave on this board. I'm 25 and I don't mind working for someone younger than me. Fact, if you need an adminstrative computer wizard. Let me know.
Which Island are you at? I'm looking to move to St. Thomas
