I know these warning are important, but, I don't know anyone who pays any attention to them nor changes plans because of them.

Risk is low. But if you have open wounds or suppressed immune system, you could get pretty sick. It's also becoming drug resistant. I had an enterococcus based UTI once. It wasn't pleasant.
