e-newspaper
I noticed this morning that the Virgin Islands Daily News is now selling subscriptions to an online version. They say that this is an exact replica of the dead tree edition and is available by 5 am. Go to www.virginislandsdailynews.com and click on "try our e-newspaper link," This would be helpful for those considering a move and for those who want to decrease the paper flow in their home!!
they have offered this for some time. Unless they have upgraded teh software, it is cumbersome to use and sometimes hard to read teh finer print. Not very flexible. I am about to let my subscription expire because I find it so frustrating to use. But for a cursory read of the paper, it is ok. Also very slow.
So is it like the Island Trader was- a scanned version?? I have always had problems with their free on-line version. Guess I am going to have to continue to kill trees for my news. 😉
Not familiar with Island Trader on line, but with daily news on line you can't expand the size to make it bigger and zooming in and out is not effective in making it easier to read. And it is very slow. But if you have great eyesight and time on your hands, have at it.
Here is a free source of info of STT, there is also a STJ and STX version:

I thought it was a day late. Has that changed?
Juanita: This isn't the free version (which doesn't come on-line until evening), but a paid subscription version.
noOne: The Source is much better on-line than the free Daily News on-line. But the Source doen't have the ads, the "what's happening", the TV guide on Saturday, etc.
Now if we could just get Sunday funnies like the Avis...:-(
Only sometimes the Sunday funnies don't show up until Wednesday!!
The paper isn't worth $1.00 & they've scaled back the TV Guide so much it's ridiculous. It has gotten to the point that I don't buy it unless the headline is really interesting. They really don't have the Halo/Pitchfork like they used to & if they do, it's only Haloes. Less local letters to the Editor & more syndicated ones. I'm really fed up with it so I sure wouldn't pay for it online.
