DVD printer
My Epson stylus photo RX580 was shipped without the tray for printing DVD's. I have a job coming up and implore anyone out their who might have one I could beg, borrow or ???? Will buy the ink and everything. My client (and myself) will be forever grateful. I'm on STX, btw.
What do you want to borrow? That exact tray? Any printer capable of printing direclty onto DVDs? Not that I have the equipment, but clarifying your request will help anybody who is considering helping you. As a last resort, you could buy another printer locally.
If someone has a tray I'd like to borrow it. If someone wants to sell me the printer I'll buy it. If someone has a printer I can borrow in exchange for money/services I'll be happy to oblige. I've checked OD and didn't find anything close since printers that make DVD's aren't big sellers. I've checked online with Epson, ebay and others without success.
On a sadder note, the repair shop that has my Apple G5 informed me that the operation was a success but the patient has passed away. Meaning a large investment for another or trying to locate such 'inexpensive' things as processors, logic boards, etc. So if someone has those parts to help defibrillate my deceased box I will buy them, too. Thanks.
I've checked OD.
You mean OM, right?
For all you non-AGKG's:
OD = Office Depot
OM = Office Max
AGKG= Acronym-Generating Kinda Guy/Gal
Novanut - sent your request on to a friend of mine who is IT guru at a private school up north. He's gotten me some great deals so thought I would check to see if he had any spare parts to help put your baby back together.
will keep you posted.
Pamela
I can help you. Send me a PM and we can get your DVD's printed.
There's one on ebay now, though it's not an Epson:
Thanks Pamela, Darrin 411 and all for your input. Needless to say it's been a harrowing week. I've been on ebay, the apple and epson sites, and all I see is dollar signs; huge dollar signs. Problem with shipping the G5 is its weight; 60+ lbs. Too bad they didn't build it with gold so I could at least recoup some of my investment.
Darrin, your PM is ready. Thanks again all.
USPS parcel post ships up to 70 lbs. The cost of living in the VI.
