I would suggest shipping Internally.

Technically, it's illegal (at least with the USPS).

My friends always put "hot sauce" on the customs label.

No probs so far.

Cruzan Rum, I am told, is now being exported to the states by a Palm Beach Fla. company. It is becoming increasingly more common on store shelves. The price quoted was around $8.00 per bottle. Of course, you can probably get some at kMart for around three bucks. But it might end of cheaper than shipping, (if you can legally ship that much liqour with out a license) . While traveling you can carry 5 (five) fifths at no charge. An additional free fifth can be added if it is local product (Cruzan)

Thanks everyone for the shippping suggestions. On my past 3 trips back to Missouri, I've carried the max # of 6 Cruzan Rum bottles. This time, I just don't want to fool with the hassle (two layovers!). I was told that you can ship to certain states, but I can't seem to find any regulations.

Here in Rockport, Tx a very small town on the texas south coast , I have found Cruzan Rum in three stores and they all carry all variaties of it. Here it runs around $12 a bottle for the large bottle. It is the only rum I buy antmore as I have found it to be the best going bar none. Rum is my drink of choice

John,

Do they sell the Cruzan Diamond or Single Barrel rum there also? If so, what are the prices? I'm curious about the markup in the States.

Thanks,

Chris

Howdy RockportJohn,
Just had a mini vacation in your fair town last month. Stayed at the Sandollar. My wife spent most of her time/money at Groomingdales. We have parrots. Awwwkkk! Almost came home with another one. Phew! We really enjoy Rockport/Fulton. I lived in CC for about 8 months back in 00/01 and liked your area for the smallness/quiet. Couldn't get used to the crazy drivers in CC. Also couldn't make a decent living.

Are you planning a move to one of the islands? It almost seems to me you are living in a "South Texas" paradise; on the Gulf, great weather, etc. We're living in the desert (New Mexico) and enjoy the idea of palm trees, water and sun. We'd like, someday, to relocate to the islands.

Single barrel in the states (midwest) cost me round about $32 bucks a bottle. Single barrel on STX runs me about $10 bucks less.

I was able to find the Cruzan line at more than a half dozen stores in my town of 250K. Most bars carried the tropical rum flavored stuff, and a few, higher end places, carried the single barrel, and even the new, sweeter, blue label stuff (the name of which escapes me at the moment).

I've only seen the coconut Cruzan rum in Georgia....not the variety of flavors like I saw in the USVI. In the liquor store it costs aout $30. Depends on where you go.
LOVE the mango Cruzan!!! I can't wait to get down there and have a cocktail when I get off the ferry!!!
