A rare chance --- well used with wear from on the water -- just saw it on ebay it is not my ad.
Looks TARNISHED to me!;)
How is it that someone is even allowed to sell this? I thought badges had to be returned to whichever agency provided them when whomever they provided them to leaves that dept.??????
In most cases, You are given your service badge upon retiring and other circumstances, you buy your own. I have two of the three law enforcement badges from the three agencies that I had worked for in the past. One agency, I had to purchase my own badge and the last agency gave me my service badge and also a new badge that says "retired on it". They also gave me my service weapon as well. This I guess was in lieu of a gold watch hahahahahahaha. The Chief also had a concealed weapons permit filled out and signed for me, but I declined the offer because I carried a gun for more years than I care to remember and now I enjoy not having that added responsibility.
That is a nice badge and anyone who has a badge collection would love to have it. But the price is a might steep. In the early 80's I bought a new badge from Blackington that had the American flag on each side of the badge, it was a real beauty for around $50.00
