Try Pastry Hut... the other one may be Centerline Bakery (or something like that)... I would call first...

yup, slim pickens...

The one at La Reine closed some time ago. The one down Centerline is part convenience store, part deli, part donut/pastry shop. That's the last place I've gotten donuts in quite a while.

Dough House at Sion Farm has some pastry but limited selection last time I was in there of a morning.

You might cruise the yellow pages and see what might be listed and call to see if they're still around.

Pastry Hut always tastes like they use old grease in the fryers; last time I was by Dough House it was closed....

We don't have enough police officers on island to support one.

Don't you all have any bakeries in STX?
I love my guava turnovers but must get there early in morning unless I specifically order them the day before as they are gone fast.
So yummy!

Thomas bakery in Sion Farm has the most amazing tarts...better than doughnuts in my opinion...guava, mango, pineapple, coconut...mmmmmm they are amazing...over behind the Red Cross.

Totaly wrong!

Pastry hut and Centerline make some pretty damn good donuts, very "krispy kream" like based on my recent experience.

I remember the donut shop at La Reine used to get decent business, but that was a while ago.

STX is more of a bakery pastry type of place. Thomas Bakery will always be #1 in my book. I've been eating from them ever since they were baking and selling outside of their house. Hot butter bread, bun, raising roll, coconut drops, tarts, turnovers, and the list goes on

Daniel Bakery also gets my support.

Just offering as a consideration, you might want to analyze....

BHT alone: liver and kidney damage, allergic reactions, hyperactivity and behavioral problems, infertility, weakened immune system, birth defects, cancer. Banned in Europe, Japan, Scandinavia, and many other countries.

It's amazing what the USA will allow in processed "food." This isn't food...

As a former Schooner Bay Market employee.....everything came in frozen and then baked. Don't know about the other places.

IMO, Thomas' Bakery on the side road next to the Carib Do-it has the best donuts and pastries. And the best bread, rolls, hot dog/hamburg buns at an amazing price. Never purchase any bakery items in the grocery stores.

I'll second, or third the motion on thomas bakery turnovers. Flaky, crazy good.

And the best Roti's are at Martha's?

Yes, Starfish Patisserie did close and thankfully. Those people were the most unfriendly business owners I've ever come across. And outrageous prices. Good riddance.

We always found them very nice. Sad they are closed.
