Did Exon Ink A deal for the Hovensa plant?

The imaginary feeding trough of the rumored re-opened refinery, VICanuck? Yes you can have my pretend share after the emperor breaks ground with the hope shovel and cross-your-fingers new clothes. Dream on.. In AtPelicanHeights has inside information that when they kick the tires, the plant was basically a pile of junk.

Please VICanuck, I would like to lose this debate because then we all win. I lost 30% business when the refinery closed and I will lose another 10 % when the "government" lays off to meet the rum cover over extension deficit.

I've experienced the same downturn MissJustcie, but why are you so bitter all the time? I'm trying to think positive.

Whether we are bitter, or optimistic, will have absolutely no effect on the outcome here.

It is our of our hands. So people can act however they want regarding the issue. To each his own!

Exxon-Mobil's 1st quarter earnings announcement is tentatively scheduled for May 1st....being a public company....if something is happening....it will have to be noted in their earnings announcement.

Ya know...someone who used to be in HR IS coming back for a visit...Doesn't work for EXXON tho...hmmmm

I know someone who is renting their apartment to someone from Exon and was told they are also renting over 50 cars. I have been skeptical but it sounds like something is happening - what that is....time will tell.

I think it's a lot of wishful thinking, and I really, REALLY wish it would happen, too!

I was speaking with a real estate agent friend the other day and she told me a rep from a company working with Exxon is looking for accommodations. I wonder why?

Carib, you have never given me good news before so how can you tell how I act when confronted with same? And Hovensa closed, which is bad news. How am I supposed to act to bad news? Positively? Really.

I am just being a realist. When I said the 4th Hovensa and Diageo deals are hurting us, several bloggers demanded proof. I am just asking that people don't lead us on. That's being negative?

And today Government House reported that there is no sales update with Hovensa. You can call 774-0001 to verify if you think I am being "negative".

April 23rd...that's the date the announcement will be made. I'm told 600 - 800 jobs initially. Maybe I'm misinformed but I'm not the only one who has heard this information. Many in the business community are well aware as are most politicians. Fingers crossed!!!

I cant even imagine that if Blowhard Chucky knew this for a fact (although she's never let facts get in the way of her bloviating before) she would miss the opportunity to put one of her "Keeping in touch with my people" PSA's in the paper and then take credit for negotiating the terms and conditions of the sale.

Everyone who has confidentiality agreements with Hess are on radio silence right now so it'll be pretty quite up until the announcement is made. Sanes knows all the details so Chunky Monkey must be in the know too. She ought to be happy...with a new owner, she'll have more to bloviate about.
