TODAY'S TELECONFERENCE CALL WITH GOVERNOR DE JONGH AND REPORTERS POSTPONED
This afternoon's planned teleconference with reporters to facilitate an update from the Governor on the HOVENSA sales process has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. The postponement stems from a last minute change in HOVENSA's position. The brief extension of the Fourth Amendment Agreement requested by HOVENSA and approved by the Governor remains in place.
Government House will announce a new date for the update briefing by the Governor as soon as possible. There will be no additional comment on this matter today.

What else is new?
What else is new?
Right?!
Senator Sanes is in voter jeopardy in St. Croix. So Sir John deJongh comes to his rescue again with fake rumors and stringing the people along about a sale of the refinery. Watch tomorrow. They will hint, imply, and tease but will not announce an offer. And Sanes will be on the radio taking credit for ushering the "sale". As if any senator could be responsible for the Hovensa sale. As if any senator, and not a governor, could negotiate a contract under VI law. And I guarantee you that it will be a load of bull.
You're wrong again Miss Justice...the refinery sale announcement today is real.
Today will be a great day for St. Croix!
Was there a sale announced? Etched in stone? I have been following this story but cannot find anything on it being a done deal?

Here's an article about the announcement:

Something funky. 20 months to secure financing?
Nothing unusual about that janeinstx. Lets celebrate the fact that someone is willing to invest in St. Croix. No one in their right mind would go forward with something like this without crunching the numbers and putting together a business plan. I had to put together a comprehensive plan before the bank would lend me the substantial amount they gave me to expand my business, this is no different.
