*Can you give me some words from a-z in which cruzians use in everyday life.

stush - to be stuck up (stushy)

sket - a slut, or girl of loose morals (sketish, sketingly)

vexed up - to get upset, or annoyed

cheese and bread! - explative showing frustration

palinky bird - to procrastinate "Get to work and stop palinky birdin'.

wife - like action or tail. "Me lonely, need to get me some wife."

walk with it - bring it with you. "Do you have the sack? Well, walk wit it."

left to come back - he will return shortly. "Is Thomas here. No, he left to come back."

dem - (them) makes words plural *singular dog-*plural dose dog dem (those dog them)

This is an excellent reference for Jamaican patois, which shares some phrases and linguistic structures with the dialect spoken in the USVI:

Jnea,

I remember a student having a school project that was to pick a word that was common to the USVI using every letter.... is that what you need?
Just local things (fruits, animals, slang words, places, people....) or does it in fact need to be part of the local patois - which will be far more difficult.

In all reality Crucians speak English so you could pick all english words if it is a school project :-)... wouldn't be as much fun but accurate!
