I was looking to fly out for Christmas this year and couldn't find any delta flights except for Saturdays. Weren't these running wednesday as well? Looking at their flight schedules i find only saturday flights from December to March and absolutely nothing else for the next year.

Was was last "winter season" is not necessarily going to be the same year to year. Anybody who thinks airlines will always stay with the same routine year to year is going to be disappointed.. As the "winter season aka high season" gets closer, Delta might post additional flights but then again they may have chosen to only have 1 flight a week this winter. As for flights after March 2012, they don't post flights that far in advance. I know that my wife & I flew in July this yr from STX to Atlanta on a Wednesday.

It is my understanding that sometime after the first of the year Delta will resume Wednesday flights. Call them and ask. Most websites are only showing the Saturday flight right now.

Jet Blue begins service in December, as another option.

In July 2010, we flew to the states on Delta on Wed... in July, 2011, it was Tuesday. It threw me off because I was scanning for Wed and Saturday flights... who knows, maybe in 2012, it will be Saturday and Thursday. I am looking forward to checking out the Jet Blue service. We'll see 🙂

You can always fly to STT and then take the Seaplane to STX as well...with Jetblue and Air Canada coming in hopefully Delta will start getting more competitive [especially with their rates!]

Also American now has 2 flights a day from Miami to STX.
I just booked a weekend trip to see my parents in FL - super cheap, but I'm a bargain hunter when it comes to stuff like that.
