Does anyone have experience with a Daikin brand split air conditioner? Most recommendations I've gotten are for the Mitsubishi, but Daikin has been suggested as a brand equivalent to and perhaps superior to Mitsubishi, some reasons being relative efficiency ratings and warranties.
Thanks in advance for replies, and if anyone has experience with other brands I'd love to hear that , too.

No info on the Daikin, but I just had the Mitsubishi Mr. Slims installed and am very pleased with the performance.

I have two Mitsubishi units and nothing but good things to say. They aren't the cheapest, but are very efficent.
Never heard of the brand you are asking about.

Thanks much for the replies! I have had only one proponent of the Daikin and lots of support for the Mitsubishi--unless I hear more on Daikin, Mitsubishi here I come.

Better safe than sorry. China and Korea produce a lot of no name HVAC products for sale in developing and third world countries. They design it to be affordable and not high tech or efficent. If an AC make isn't available in the US then it probably doesn't meet US mandated efficency standards.
