Curious About Age Demographics on STX
Hi,
My wife and I were speculating today on what kind of age demographics are on STX and the Virgin Islands as a whole. Anecdotally, I imagine that there are quite a few early twenty-somethings that are working part-time in the island in resort and tourist-type industries. I also assume that there is a significant retiree community. I have no idea if there are a lot of working age 30s-40s types. My wife and I are in our mid-30s, both professionals, with twins on the way and we are curious if we will feel like a minority on the island or are there a lot of young families on STX?
Mostly, I'm asking about the expat community. I assume the locals have a pretty standard mix, but I might be wrong? Anyways, thanks in advance for helping to educate us!
Cheers,
Rick
I feel like there are about the same mid-30s family types as there are people in the early 20s. I think that late-20s/early-30s gets thin though.
Just my perspective!
30 somethings...I just went to Sharkeys for Sunday football and saw every table with 30-somethings. Men donning their favorite team jerseys and couples just out for a good time.
I think you will fit in.
