Does anyone know of any cottages for rent (1 - 2 weeks) on STX? I'm looking for something clean, comfortable, safe. Economy is more important than luxuries. What about scooter rentals? Any on the island? Or are the roads not good for scooters? I'm a reasonably experienced rider.

Are you looking for a vacation villa type cottage or a short term rental for moving reasons.
No scooter rentals on St. Croix. The island is big anyway so you would want a car to get around.

Planning a 1 - 2 week stay, so a vacation rental would be great. Possible 1 month, but much later in 2004. And, I was thinking of a large scooter - I ride a Honda Helix 250 cc which as road worthy as a small motorcycle.

As for the scooters - small or large, I checked about 2 months ago for scooters - there was no one renting them. There used to be one company but they went out of business.
