Well, I went back to Michigan to tackle a house that wasn't selling. I left STX on 8/7 and scheduled a flight back 8/27. I told hubby I would have the house sold before I returned. Magic happened and I signed a purchase agreement 8/22, a Wednesday. I called Lee Fleming that afternoon on his cell and he said he could get a container to me by Friday. I had two phone numbers I jotted down for him from the message board in Feb. which was his old number at Flemmings Transport. I was accidentally getting two different cargo companies hauling but to get me something. I received a call from a company through Flemmings Transprt for a 10X20. This jerk asked me if I got any pricing and I said no. Little did he know I had received warnings from you all that people will try to charge you for a 40 footer. He came back with $13,500. I flat out said, "you're charging me for a 40 footer!" He said, 'you have pricing?' I said, no but I heard from alot of people what it should be and that some people would try to charge me for a 40 footer....I didn't hear from him again. So when Lee Flemming called me I told him about the quote and that's when we figured out what had happened. I immediately called Flemmings Transport and cancelled their services. Well, the container couldn't get there by Friday but we had the container come Wednesday (without me there) because that was when I could get a crew of friends at the house. It took exactly 4 hours to load with lots of boxes, a king size bed, wood shop tools and a mechanics tool box. We had a lift rented for the day and this truck driver didn't have a lock so someone ran to Home Depot to get a combination lock. He did seal the door but I don't know how that will detour anyone from stealing our stuff with a pair of cutters.

Anyway, I will fill you in what happens next.

It has just been a week and Lee has been letting me know what he knows or doesn't know by phone. I also am sad to say today hubby and I went to South Slob to go beach combing and learned a valuable lesson. Our car wasn't on the beach with us and the alarm started. By the time we got back to it we lost everything out of it. My purse, his wallet, his cell phone and much more valuables. We will have to carry a pack to the beach when we leave it next time or just bring it on the beach with us.

Congratulations 🙂

We used Lee when we moved and he was great. I am needing to ship a few more 20' containers in the near future and the only number I can find of Lee's is his old office, so is there anyway you could give me his cell number please. You can PM me if you don't want to post it on the forum.

Thanks in advance.
