you're not seriously that simple to think that a person who chooses to surround themselves with those who believe and live the word of the Lord is an intolerant bigot? You'd thereby be calling God an intolerant bigot. That's some dangerous territory there, my friend. I will pray the Holy Spirit grants you the wisdom you need to see as the Prince of Peace sees, not as the Prince of the earth wants us all to be blinded. Accepting that there is RIGHT AND WRONG does not make you a bigot. That's just another of the Devil's tricks... trying to say that everyone is right if they're not hurting anyone. I hope you haven't fallen victim to this false idea. There is a right and wrong, and it's no mystery. God already told us what it is. Whether you ignore Him or not is between you and Him, but I'm no bigot because I do what He tells me to do and I believe what He tells me is right and wrong. That makes me and people like that righteous, holy, blessed, and children of light. All who follow the Lord can see that.

Your beliefs are not necessarily shared by the majority of people on Earth -- or on this discussion forum -- and your perspective on matters of faith is no more correct than other perspectives on matters of faith. The USVI is a religiously plural community and the vast majority of Virgin Islanders do not share your particular Christian beliefs, which you have admitted seem conservative even to evangelical Christians. Because you hold beliefs that are conservative to the degree that only a small percentage of people share your perspective, you will likely find yourself as bereft of like-minded adherents here on STT as you do among the 15 million people that populate New England. In fact, logic suggests that if one can't find sufficient numbers of like-minded people among 15 million Americans in one religiously diverse place, it is highly unlikely that one will find sufficient numbers of like-minded people among only 50,000 Americans in another religiously diverse place. When you consider that those 50,000 are not culturally conservative in the ways that you have said you are (earlier in this thread posters mentioned attitudes about monogamy and bisexuality), it seems clear that if a community of like-minded religious adherents is of utmost importance to you, you are unlikely to be happy here.

hey, i'm not here to proselytize. i came asking questions and I'm being attacked by some. in each post i made clear that what you believe is between you and Him. i'm not looking for a place where everyone is conservative like my family. i'm looking for a place where there are some people who are just as conservative. here, in the northeast, i cannot find any. i pray you see.

just like someone wants to know if they can get Heinz ketchup on STT, I need to know if I can find a decent group of conservative Christians. The only reason I'm on this site is to find out if there are others like me, but I can't do that if I'm not allowed to talk about it. Don't get all bent out of shape about it. If the subject bothers you, then you're better off commenting on other topics. You are wrong about one thing... there is a right way. If there isn't, then faith is only whatever you make it, and you could make it anything, so then it doesn't matter at all and is totally pointless, but like you, I think THAT is a subject for another forum. HERE, I'm trying to find out if there are people who are already conservative like we are. I'm not trying to create any. I could just do that here.

Simkiss, I actually thought your question at the start were, just fine. Now well all I can wish you is good luck and you definitely are going to need a lot of that if this is the main reason your moving to the VI's.

I wish that I had just baldly pointed out to you that you are so far out of the norm, that statistically speaking, you will probably find 1.04 people on StT that are on your exact bandwidth. I most certainly don't care if you pray for me or not...but I do care that you call me simple...that, I am not.
