Congratulations to STTs newest Senator
Ms. Sarauw ran a great campaign, focusing on her agenda and platform without resorting to negative attacks. She also used social media and Google ads very effectively. I love her non traditional campaign. Traditional campaigns have got the VI where it is today. She also explicitly stated last night on the live stream of election results she is NOT a democrat and will be caucusing with the minority. This is a huge win for those against the asinine sin tax. We just need to get a few more of them out in 2018. #Omell2018
Yes, it certainly helps that her father is good friends with Mapp, her position at Lt. Governor's Office was created when Mapp took office and
I have to wonder where the money came from to file all those lawsuits against Rodriguez.
I'd have much preferred Alma Francis Heyliger who actually is a community activist and has the people's best interest at heart, instead of another Mapp suck up.
The money didn't come from Mapp, I know that. She has a lot to lose if she isn't the independent thinking senator she promised. #Omell2018
Time will tell.
Yes it will I do not want to eat crow but I will if she turns out to be a Mapp slappy
Glad you registered to vote and voted, what ever the outcome.
Not my cuppa tea.
Hopefully, she'll not be the suck up I expect.
As mentioned, time will tell.
Maybe she'll be honest, ethical, dedicated, have integrity and shake things up while looking out for the best interest of the people including those that didn't bother to vote.
Just out of curiosity, how many of you that have lived here and contribute to this forum actually voted?
I'm just glad she isn't a Democrat (tu)
Seems to be quite enough republicans sucking our rights, money, and environmental protections in plain sight.
Insert upchuck emogi.

I think the Democrats have superior money wasting ability. Just look at any place that they are in charge.
Obviously, we disagree.
But hey, you don't mind your president spending our money at over
$3M a pop playing golf every weekend while disrupting people's livelihoods while he profits.

I voted early -- convenient!

While I might not agree with wasting money no matter who is responsible, I find the golf playing easier to live with than Hillary making millions selling 1/5 of our uranium stockpile to the Russians. The Democrats sold our country to the highest bidder for personal gain while doling out entitlements too the ignorant masses
As she said, "people don't like a successful woman" Really? She should be in jail.

I voted, and voted for her. Primarily because she was with the minority and for legalization of marijuana. Time will tell. Now to sit back and see what she does. Didn't realize she was affiliated with Mapp though. Might have had second thought.
I sincerely hope she exceeds my expectations.
Glad you voted tho, Idlewood4.
You seem to be settling in quite nicely!

She is not affiliated with Mapp other than being employed formerly by the lieutenant governor.
Yeah, like Mapp and her daddy aren't close personal friends.
