Hello Daniel,

The cost depends on the weight...and whether you are shipping priority or express or regular mail, media rate... If you know the weight of your computer and monitor go to www.usps.com and click on Calculate Postage in the navigation then Calculate Domestic Postage then choose package and enter the zip codes and weight and you will see what the cost of shipping is for the various types priority, media rate, express ect.

I sent a computer from Rhode Island to St. Croix when I moved back from college for the summer... it cost me $50 to send it Priority Mail (I have a HUGE gaming computer). The $50 included delivery confirmation and insurance for $800. It should be around the same or less... assuming your computer isn't as big as mine.

Hello Daniel,

You have to pack it, label it ect.

I asked a friend who did this: she collected pieces of styrofoam from her office (shipments received that had packing in them) and broke pieces to pack around the computer... also used clothes to pack around it. She used a box that was much bigger then the computer. Intially she put the computer and monitor together with a bunch of other stuff (scanner, books...) and the package was too heavy and the post office refused (they have restrictions on weight)... so she packed the monitor and pc in two different boxes. It cost her over $150 Express mail (she had other things in the boxes as mentioned) and it arrived fine.

DL how did you do it?

I sent it in the same box that I orginally ordered the computer in. It had styrofoam that perfectly fit the computer that I re-used.
