If you smoke near your computer Apple will void your computer warranty, chances are the other manufactures will follow suit.
Perhaps it is another reason to stop smoking?

If you saw the pictures of what some of these computers look like inside when used by regular smokers, you might understand what Apple is saying. Some of the tech websites have some unbelievable pictures of crud inside PCs. Yucch!!!

My daughter who swears by Apple just got a rude awakening. The power cord on her Apple computer not only smoked, it burst into flames. When she went to the Apple store to get a new cord they at first refused to take responsibility. After a 'heated' discussion they agreed to provide a new power cord. This must be the Apple of Poor Customer Service. Shame on you Steve Jobs.

I switched from Apple to PC here on stx when I had to replace my 2nd apple in 3 years from corrosion on the m/b, whereas my wife's PC clone had salt dripping from the vent holes in the case and continued to work flawlessly (for a 286).
