What are you needs for a commercial center? Fort Christian is a museum! Or maybe I have misunderstood.

Hello Carla,

The combination of your question about D. Hamilton Jackson and this one, I assume you are doing some sort of research project on the USVI. Glad www.vinow.com and those on this board can assist with your research.

Your present question is not clear though. Are you inquiring about commercial centers in terms of a port - ie. Charlotte Amalie became the commerical 'town' for St. Thomas in the past due to its natural harbor, and Fort Christian was built as a defensive for that commerical center. Likewise Christiansted served as the commericial center for St. Croix for trade ect. in the 1800's and today actually in a different way of course.

Or.

Are you asking about commericial centers like malls, shopping areas, office buildings...
