MY NAME IS HUHNNA,. I'VE WRITTEN BEFORE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND HAVE BEEN READING EVERY DAY. THANK GOD FOR THIS BOARD!!! MY FIANCE AND I ARE GETTING MARRIED JULY 31 AND WILL BE FLYING TO STX AUG 2. HE WILL BE STARTING NURSING SCHOOL AND I'LL BE GOING TO WORK IN THE ER ON STX. WE DID NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO FLY DOWN FOR A VISIT FIRST BECAUSE OF THE WEDDING, BUT I AM HOPEFUL THAT WE WILL BE VERY HAPPY THERE. WE BOTH LOVE TO LEARN NEW THINGS AND LIVE NEW ADVENTURES. EVERY ONE SAYS THAT GETTING THERE IS HALF THE FUN AND THAT IT SHOULD BE WORK. AMEN... WE WERE HOPING IT WASN'T THAT EASY OR STX WOULD BE CROWDED. I'M SO EXCITED TO MEET NEW PEOPLE AND EAT NEW FOOD. I WANT TO SINK MY TOES IN THE SAND AND JUMP IN THE WATER WHEN I GET HOT. I KNOW I'M DAY DREAMING HERE BUT I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING TO BURST WAITING FOR AUG 2. I HAVE READ ALL THERE IS TO READ, AND I'M POSITIVE THAT REALITY WILL SET IN THE SECOND THAT THE HONEYMOON IS OVER AND I'M OFF TO WORK ON MONDAY, AND I KNOW THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN PREPARE ME FOR "ISLAND LIVING" LIKE ISLAND LIVING.... BUT I'M READY!!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO COME. SORRY FOR RAMBLING, IT JUST SPILLED OUT:)

Love your excitement -- I can feel the big smile that's on your face as you write these posts.
Congratulations on your marriage and your big move -- it sounds like you have a LOT going on in the category of major life changes happening in a very short period of time. *grin*
Given my health issues, I'm certain I'll probably run into you in the STX ER at least once -- I'm eager to hear your impressions of the hospital and medical services on the island in general. I chose STX because the terrific descriptions of its medical ingfastructure in the Settler's Handbook indicated I'd have access to a lot of the services I need on STX, and because STX was more residential, and more affordable. How did you end up choosing to settle on the Big Island?
Enjoy this time ahead -- Even though it will be very busy, I know it will be a magical experience that will lift your heart, bring a million smiles, and fill you with joy that you never thought possible. I'm so happy for you and your fiance, and wis you both nothing but the best before, during and after your move.

I HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO MEET YOU IN THE ER.:) I'LL BE THE GIRL THAT WON'T COME IN OFF THE BEACH WITH THE RUM-SUN BURN. I'M STILL READY TO BURST!! THE DAY WILL NEVER ARRIVE.... THE ONLY STRESSOR RIGHT NOW IS LACK OF AN ADDRESS. I CAN'T WORK IN STX WITHOUT VI NURSING LICENSE AND I NEED TO BE THERE TO APPLY BUT I CAN'T COME WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO WORK. AAAAAAUUUGGHH! OHWELL, GOTTA BE UP FOR ANYTHING. MY FIANCE HAS BEEN LOOKING AT MILL HARBOUR. ANYONE GOT ANY FEEDBACK? WE HAVE A LITTLE 13 LB RAT TERRIER NAMED JILL THAT WILL ALSO BE SINKING HER TOES IN THE SAND. SHE LOVES THE SUN. WE CAN'T GET HOUSING THROUGH THE TRAVEL AGENCY BECAUSE WE HAVE THE DOG. WE ARE RENTING A HOUSE FOR THE WEEK OF THE HONEYMOON, DO YOU THINK THAT THAT WILL BE ENOUGH TIME TO SECURE HOUSING? WORST CASE SCENARIO WE HAVE TO SLEEP UNDER THE STARS, BUT BEING UNDER A ROOF WOULD BE NICE':) HAVE A SAFE DAY. IF I DO HAVE TO YOU SEE AT WORK PLEASE BE SURE TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF. AS FAR AS I KNOW, I'M THE ONLY HUHNNA ON THE PLANET SO I SHOULD PRETTY EASY TO SPOT.( THAT, AND I'LL BE THE PALEST PERSON ON THE ISLAND. I'M AN IRISH GIRL FROM NORTHERN MAINE)

Please stop using CAPS..because that is like "yelling "online.
You have a lot of good questions, most that can only be answerd by being on island and talking to people here. You have come to the right on line community to get honest, thoughtful answers. If you are ready to turn your life upside down, then you are ready to move to the USVI.

Do a search on recent posts from HipCrip. She was able to get an address from Mailboxes etc. Maybe you can do the same... Also what are you doing about the banking situation?
