China Jade STX
Looks like China Jade closed in Sunny Isle and is setting up as Sushi Thai at 5 corners in the defunct chicken joint.
another place at that spot-good luck, hope they can break the spell
Not likely...China Jade sucked and I certainly wouldn't trust them to serve raw fish.
My bet is 12 months and they're gone.
i ate at china jade a couple of times in the past 11 years-not my favorite
They were the only place on island with dim sum.
Wonder why they are moving from a great, central, location to a spot that is known for failures. Probably a lease issue.
We used to eat their $5 lunch special quite often. Not bad, if you choose wisely, but we still would occasionally say that's enough cheap Chinese for a while!!! I always got the congested "junk food" cough immediately. To be fair, I get it at most restaurants and all fast food joints.
I wish them luck. The ladies working there are very nice.
I agree with Juanita......we've eaten there quite a few times. The help that they have out front are generally outstanding.
Heating up factory-made Chinese food out a box from Merchant's Market is one thing.
Safely handling raw fish and rolling sushi is another.
I'll stick with Dashi when I need sushi thanks.
At least it's not another fried chicken place.

The last business in that location, Krispy Chicken, shut down because the owner assaulted one of the family members from the auto parts store during an arguement over the use of his ( chicken man's) credit card machine. He was doing pretty well until then.
Was told an Italian restaurant will be opening on the other side of the auto parts store.
Frank & Katherine of Bacchus & EatAtCaneBay are opening Un Amore in early 2016
Special k. I remember that. Was a shame they did have great chicken
The only BAD meal I ever had on STX was from China Jade.
I love how they taped the Sushi Thai sign over the China Jade sign... not looking good so far.
Drove by today. Big "open" sign in the window.
How soon until the sign says "For Lease"?
