Thanks to everyone that posted info today. My husband and I just found out that his job is transferring him down there so we are planning a PMV to get ready for the big move. This may sound silly but is there any advice to help a 9 year old boy adjust to island life? And what time does everything close down for the evening?

Hello Lia & Joel,
Which island? What does your boy like to do? Sports, acting, swimming...? Getting him involved in some of those will surely help greatly in getting adjusted.
Everything like what? (Stores, offices, banks??) There are no 24 hour grocery stores here.
