Any recommendations for a place where a guy can get a cheap haircut on STX?

I pay the equivalent of about $2.50 here in Eastern Europe! I'm preparing for a big shock. :@)

I haven't found one yet. I have very short hair, and currently pay $55 for a basic cut and style. I've heard rumors of a $35 cut, but...

Try Mon's Barber Shop. Just across from the Pink Fancy Hotel on the corner , near the Seaplane Dock across from Watergut

Guys are so funny. They all want cheap haircuts. I can't think of much less appealing to me than "cheap" haircut! I finally convinced my husband to spring for the $20 that Crystal (Indulgence) charges, and get a good cut, plus she is quick. He loves her!

I have used Betty's Unisex since I moved here. It's located in Le Grande Princesse turn right at the school, over a speedbump and look for the neon pink building. Cheap is word never to be spoke on St.Croix. $14 for a cut and I always give them a $20. She does a good, quick job and I get a chance to study Spanglish conversations.

Unless your mate can cut your hair, I'm gonna go with Flowbee too.

I've tried Mon's for a year; Betty's gave me the creeps despite the fact Betty's cousin recommended them to me; LA for hair couldn't be bothered, and so on.

I have full but light unremarkable blond hair which would not pose a problem to any barber or salon in the states, but it seems to be a rare thing here. There was a lady who worked @ coakley for a while who was wonderful!!! but she moved away.

@Juanita, money is no object, unless the cut stinks, in which case the $40 should at least come with a hat.

Frustrating.

Wow, maybe I should go into business! (Just kidding! Don't PM me! :P) My boyfriend finally convinced me to cut his hair a couple of years ago, despite the fact that I was sure he'd end up wearing a hat for 2 months and might even lose part of an ear. I've been cutting his hair ever since. It's so easy! He says he taught all the guys in his dorm to do it back in college, and apparently a monkey can cut most men's hair. So... maybe the solution is to find a friend and do a little trial and error? 😀

Salvatore's barber shop on Queen St, Christiansted, between King Cross and Queen Cross Streets . $12 for a haircut. I've been going there for years.

Now to find someplace that will do a woman's hair inexpensively--I know people shudder at the idea of a woman getting a "cheap" haircut but not all of us have the luxury of paying that much.
